Design & Refurbishment

Sara designs and project manages to ensure that her clients' wishes are fulfilled.

When the walls of this London project were removed a low RSJ was revealed. The decision was made to drop the ceiling at this point and install antique columns from Rajasthan.

A marble Jali screen was placed so that it separated the lavatory from the rest of the room.

The mirrored panelling conceals all the bathroom cabinets.

A redundant chimney was reinstated and an antique fire surround sourced.

Mirror, Mirror on the Wall

Sara sources and commissions mirrors that range from antique gilt, through eglomise to industrial.  She often incorporates mirror panelling into her designs.

Construction

As the plasterboard came down a massive RSJ revealed itself.  To make sense of it we balanced it with perpendicular beams.

The modern fireplace was replaced with an antique one.

The room had one tiny window so we installed mirrored panels to pull light into the space.

Mood boards and budgets were prepared for the approval of the Lodge Committee and Bursary and then the stripping out of wall-to-wall carpets, dried flowers and short nylon curtains commenced ...
